2025 Predictions the Year Ahead – I would like to share with you some insights of was spirit has shown me for 2025:

Middle East

I foresee escalating conflict in the Middle East leading to a significant wave of displacement, with a large group of Syrian refugees fleeing their homes. As tensions rise, this great caravan of men, women, and children will move toward Turkey’s border, aiming to reach safety in Europe. When they finally arrive in Germany, many will face unexpected obstacles, as European countries struggle with refugee intake, leaving a large number denied access and creating further humanitarian crises. The region will be in a state of upheaval, with neighbouring countries strained under the growing pressures of an ongoing humanitarian need.

United States – Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s position as President-elect feels precarious. I sense that he may not fully complete his term, either due to stepping down early or due to unforeseen circumstances, with the first year of his tenure being uncertain. In his absence, the Republican Party will face intense internal conflicts. JD Vance, who is seen as a successor to Trump’s influence, will struggle to keep the conservative coalition intact. Ron DeSantis will rise as a prominent figure attempting to revive the MAGA movement, but this effort will falter as the nation’s political landscape shifts away from extreme populism. Over the coming years, this movement may fade, with a shift in focus within the party.

Vatican – Pope Francis

Pope Francis’s health will continue to decline, eventually reaching a point where he will step down from his role, marking a significant shift in the Catholic Church. His successor, a younger, vibrant pope, will usher in an era of transformative reform. This new Pope, respected and deeply committed to the faith, will be known as a great reformer, addressing modern issues within the church, revisiting traditional doctrines, and making the Church more inclusive and accessible to younger generations. His tenure will mark a new chapter in the Vatican’s history, reshaping the Catholic Church’s role in the modern world.

China’s Global Influence

China’s influence will continue to grow, especially in developing regions like Africa and parts of Latin America. The country’s economic outreach and strategic partnerships will strengthen its global standing, but tensions with the West, particularly the United States, will heighten. Technological dominance and digital currency advancements will play a significant role in China’s rising soft power.

Climate Change and Natural Disasters

Climate change will exacerbate extreme weather patterns, with unusually severe floods and wildfires impacting various regions worldwide. The global community will intensify efforts toward climate agreements, but progress may be hindered by economic and political barriers. Australia will experience a particularly intense season of climate impacts, with a focus on coastal resilience and fire management.

Technology and AI

Artificial Intelligence will continue to advance, raising ethical and societal questions. The tech industry will see breakthroughs, especially in medicine and renewable energy, but privacy concerns will bring about stricter regulations. AI ethics and security will become major global discussions, with nations attempting to balance innovation and control.
