I am an intuitive and tarot reader shaped not only by years of personal practice, but by a deep family lineage of matriarchal wisdom that stretches back through generations. Intuition has never been something I “discovered” later in life — it has always been present, observed, nurtured, and respected within my family. From my great-grandmother through to my grandmother, and now shared between myself and my sister, intuitive perception has been a lived tradition rather than a novelty.
Growing up, intuitive awareness was woven naturally into daily life. It was not framed as something mystical or exaggerated, but as a quiet knowing — an ability to read people, situations, and timing with clarity and discernment. My earliest and most influential teacher was my grandmother, a lifelong card reader who practised cartomancy — the art of reading standard playing cards. Long before oracle decks and modern tarot systems became widely accessible, cartomancy was a trusted method used across Europe and within family traditions to interpret energy, intention, and unfolding life patterns.
What Is Cartomancy?
Cartomancy is the practice of divination using an ordinary deck of playing cards. Each suit carries symbolic meaning:
- Hearts reflect emotions, relationships, and matters of the heart
- Diamonds speak to finances, values, and practical affairs
- Clubs represent communication, work, and personal effort
- Spades relate to challenges, lessons, and transformative experiences
Unlike structured tarot systems with fixed imagery, cartomancy relies heavily on intuitive interpretation, pattern recognition, and energetic awareness. Cards are read in context, in sequence, and in relationship to one another. My grandmother read cartomancy cards throughout her entire life. I learned by watching her read for others, listening to her explanations, and gradually being invited to practise under her guidance. How I Read
While my foundation lies in cartomancy, I also work extensively with tarot.
