Michel de Nostradame, better known as Nostradamus, a French seer, published ‘Les Propheties’ about 500 years ago. This famous book contains 942 predictions, which seem to forecast future events.”

“Nostradamus is credited with foreseeing significant events like the assassination of John F Kennedy, the 9/11 terror attacks, and even the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, according to interpretations of his work.

For 2023, he envisioned a global economic crisis: ‘So high will the bushel of wheat rise / That man will be eating his fellow man’, he penned in a quatrain. Despite the post-COVID-19 economic downturn and the escalating cost-of-living crisis, this prophecy seems a tad exaggerated.

However, it’s believed that over 70% of his predictions have proven accurate to date. Here’s a glimpse into what Nostradamus predicted for 2024:

Climate Calamity:

The French prophet warned of climate havoc in 2024. He foresaw severe droughts and extensive flooding, as stated in his writings: ‘The dry earth will grow more parched,’ and ‘there will be great floods’.

He also cautioned about a ‘very great famine through pestiferous wave’, possibly hinting at tsunamis devastating agriculture, leading to widespread disease and hunger. Should these predictions come true, we might witness unprecedented climatic disasters in 2024.

Maritime Clash with China:

Many geopolitical experts and journalists anticipate a confrontation involving China, given its rising status as a global powerhouse. China has repeatedly demonstrated its military might, especially in the South China Sea and around Taiwan, often involving its naval fleet.

Nostradamus’s quatrains also hinted at such conflicts centuries ago, speaking of ‘combat and naval battle’. He mentioned a ‘Red adversary’ becoming pale with fear, inciting terror across the great Ocean, likely alluding to the Indian Ocean and communist China.

Royal Upheaval:

Nostradamus mentioned a ‘King of the Isles’, embroiled in a contentious divorce and ousted by force, replaced by someone ‘who will have no mark of a king’. Mario Reading, an analyst and author, suggested this could refer to King Charles III, potentially abdicating due to continuous assaults on his reputation and his second wife.

Reading also noted Nostradamus’s prediction of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing in 2022.

New Young Pope:

With the current Pope, Pope Francis, in his mid-80s and facing health issues, Nostradamus predicted the appointment of a younger Pope. ‘Through the death of the very old Pontiff. A Roman of good age will be elected,’ he wrote.

While the emergence of a younger, more energetic Pope seems positive, Nostradamus also warned that this new leader would ‘weaken his see’, implying a long tenure with potential for diminishing church influence or an impending scandal. The true interpretation remains to be seen.”
