Pluto will temporarily enter Aquarius: 24 March to 11 June 2023, again from 22 January to 2 September 2024 and 20 November to 9 March 2043, then again 2 September 2043 to 19 January 2044!
Pluto entering Aquarius will bring us innovative ideas. We will see things start to move at lightning speed, major medical, scientific, and technological discoveries, space exploration, learning more about life beyond Earth, and the breakdown of outdated systems and structures of power that are unjust and do not serve the collective. Corruption will be exposed. We will become more aware of injustice and inequality. People will rise in many countries, revolting against oppressive governments. The main focus will be on our independence and freedom, emancipation, renewal, networking and decentralisation.
Pluto’s purpose is to rear up to consciousness what is unconscious to be resolved. Destructive self-belief systems and patterns, deep-seated psychological and emotional wounds. Pluto’s symbolism is the Phoenix rising from the ashes and rules things such as death, destruction, regeneration, rebirth. Pluto will tear down anything that is no longer serving us to help us to grow and create new beginnings.
Effects of Pluto Retrograde and Direct motion:
Pluto will Retrograde (looks like it is going backwards in the sky) in Aquarius from 1 May until 11 June 2023, when it will enter Capricorn until 10 October 2023 when it will move direct again. When Pluto makes aspects to your natal or birth chart, it may create power struggles, destructive control issues or uncover secrets in our relationships. When Pluto is Direct, we tend to feel its effects more externally and manifestations on the physical plane may be more apparent.
When Pluto is Retrograde, it reassesses situations / circumstances and the effects are more internal, psychological, and emotional. During these times Pluto will force us to face our own toxic, self-destructive behaviours. Our unconscious belief systems will be transformed and rise from the ashes – like the Phoenix being reborn, so that we are able to harness our own power instead of letting obsessive compulsive behaviours control us.
The last time Pluto was in Aquarius was 225 years ago in 1777/78 to 1798. It brought an end to the estate-based society, a clear separation of church and state, human and civil rights were formulated, and freedom of trade was introduced.
